During the Second World War the American Air Force would sometimes decorate their bomber aircraft with designs such as this ferocious shark's mouth and the image has a real feel for nostalgia and history. There is still gratitude for what these aircrew went through to save Europe and the world from fascism the Nazis and preserve freedom and liberty. There is a comic effect to this design but also it is filled with real menace. Symbolism of War
